Further details
From the time we are very young, our ability to be present in the here and now is continually diminished. A parent’s repression of our emotions may result in our inability to be emotionally present. Physical abuse may prevent our being present in our bodies. Those of us who grow up without adequate boundaries may find it difficult to be present without their protection. In most cases, our childhood experiences of family are at the root of our inability to be here now.
The AIT Presence and Dissociation Seminar focuses theoretically and methodologically on repairing the ways that dissociation, repression, and disapproval diminish and even destroy our clients’ ability to live in the present. It provides protocols that painlessly return them to presence. The seminar includes AIT treatment for allergies, boundary issues, family issues, and emotional and physical dissociation.
Course Topics:
- Reversing physical dissociation, repression, and disapproval
- Reversing emotional dissociation, repression, and disapproval
- Creating healthy ego boundaries
- Reversing the negative impact of the family of origin
- Increasing insight
The goal is to be present and to dwell fully in every moment physically, psychologically, and spiritually, to experience the
heights and the depths of a richly and fully lived life without getting caught in our experiences of the past or our projections
on the future.
Who can attend
The course is open to mental health professionals who have completed AIT Basics and are practicing AIT.
Dates and how online training works
The on-line training will run for 5 sessions, each 2.5 hours long, and be held on alternate Mondays. In the first session participants will pair up with another participant for practicing the protocols between the subsequent seminar sessions. This practice is a required part of the training and participants arrange and commit to do their pair practice outside the seminar time either online or in person.
There will be 2 groups for this training, group 1 from 2pm UK time and group 2 from 8pm UK time. The participant chooses which group to attend in principle. If in rare occasions when attendance is not possible at the chosen time, exceptions can be made to attend the other group's session, with tutor's approval.
Dates: 9, 23 September, 7, 21 October and 4 November 2019 (Group 1:14:00-16:30 UK time; Group 2: 20:00-22:30 UK time)
This is a registration page for the group 1. If you would like to register for the group 2, please select group 2 from the training programme list.
